Dr. Stephanie K. Fabbro, MD, FAAD

Dr. Stephanie K. Fabbro is a board-certified dermatologist with 10+ years of experience in medical and surgical dermatology. She is accepting new patients at Rixis Dermatology and treats the full spectrum of skin conditions. Before founding Rixis Dermatology, she practiced at Buckeye Dermatology (since 2016). She previously served as an assistant professor at The Ohio State University in the Cutaneous T-cell Lymphoma clinic and as a clinical ethicist, and she is currently faculty in the dermatology residency program at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
An Ohio native, Dr. Fabbro graduated valedictorian from Our Lady of the Elms (Akron), earned a B.S. in Natural Sciences, Magna Cum Laude, from The University of Akron, and received her M.D. from Northeast Ohio Medical University (2012). She completed her internship and dermatology residency at OSU, followed by a fellowship in clinical ethics. As chief resident, she received the Beiersdorf Resident of Distinction Award.
Dr. Fabbro is a published author in leading journals and textbooks, including chapters in Wolverton’s Comprehensive Dermatologic Drug Therapy & Dermatoethics: Contemporary Ethics & Professionalism in Dermatology, with articles in JAMA Oncology, AMA Journal of Ethics, British Journal of Dermatology, Journal of Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology, and the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology (JAAD).
She is a board member of the Ohio Dermatological Association (Ethics Committee Chair), a member of the American Academy of Dermatology (Professionalism & Ethics Committee), and a member of the Ohio State Medical Association.
Outside clinic, Dr. Fabbro enjoys trying new restaurants, cooking, traveling, music, and exercise - plus weekly Italian classes, hip-hop dance and strength training.
Thomas Cieslewicz, MPAP, PA-C
Dermatology physician assistant in Columbus, Ohio | Medical & cosmetic dermatology
A Central Ohio native, Thomas earned his undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University and completed a Master of Physician Assistant Practice at Ohio University. During training, he trained in internal medicine, family practice, and dermatology, building a strong foundation in comprehensive, patient-centered care and sparking a lasting interest in dermatology.
He began his dermatology career at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, managing a wide range of conditions and collaborating across disciplines to create individualized treatment plans. Those experiences reinforced his approach of prevention, early intervention, and clear patient education to support better outcomes.
Today, Thomas provides care at Rixis Dermatology with clinical interests in medical and cosmetic dermatology. He focuses on giving patients practical knowledge about their skin health and providing evidence-based care that prioritizes comfort, confidence, and long-term wellness.
Thomas is a member of the Ohio Dermatological Association and stays current with emerging research and techniques. Outside of work, he enjoys golf, running, exploring new coffee shops, and traveling.
